Dean's Message

In this ever evolving business environment, the roles and responsibilities of the educational institutions are being redefined continuously. The skill sets and competencies relevant today might become redundant tomorrow. The education system has to keep pace with the dynamics of the business environment and adjust their curriculum as per the industry requirements. India has been witnessing an average growth rate of 7 to 8% in its GDP, which means an ever increasing pressure on the educational institutions to churn our industry-ready professionals. The influx of foreign companies on one hand and the increasing global presence of Indian brands on the other, has in fact unleashed two-fold business and job opportunities for our young generation. We as professional education providers have the noble responsibility to mould our youngsters to cope up with the demands of the industry.
At Sriram Business School, the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Programme has been tailored in such a manner that the students get exposed to the latest concepts of business. A serious attempt has been made to integrate the curriculum with the industry, involving industry experts in key decision making. Whether it is curriculum building, teaching, life projects, industrial visits or placements, the role of the practicing manager has been defined clearly. The rigor of the programme ensures that the students who graduate, can tackle some of the most complex business issues.
With a view to develop the overall personality of the students, we at Sriram Business School have laid special emphasis on extra-curricular activities along with academics. Personality development and confidence building exercises are inter-twined with various cultural events that are held throughout the year. Quasi educational cultural events like quiz contest, business games, simulations, case study contests etc. give the students ample opportunity to build their holistic personality.
In the four years of its existence, I am proud to say that Sriram Business School has made a modest beginning by providing not just quality professionals for the industry but also enhancing the intellectual capital of the country through knowledge creation and knowledge dissemination.
