With the turn of the century, India emerged from being a predominantly labor-driven economy to a knowledge-driven economy. From the world’s cheap labor supplier, we graduated to becoming the world’s most popular and efficient back-office. The credit goes to our time-tested and robust value system coupled with our continuously evolving education system. 

India always had the unique advantage of being a resilient nation with one of best education systems from times immemorial. The likes of Nalanda and Takshshila have always been a source of inspiration to the world. The deep rooted value systems passed on over the generations have created a society where peaceful co-existence and harmony has become the cornerstone of our civilization. In a country as diverse as ours, education has been the one common denominator for all. The ‘Guru-Shishya Parampara’ of imparting knowledge has been practiced throughout our country and has produced scholars who have been able to leave an indelible mark in all walks of life. These scholars gained respect and won acclaims wherever they went. Saints of yesteryears like Sri Ramakrishna Paramahans, Swami Vivekananda, and modern day scholars like Nobel Laureate Dr Amartya Sen and Prof C K Prahlad, coming from humble backgrounds, could shake the  conscience  of the people of the developed world and change their perspective towards different dimensions of life. In essence, education has always been a priority area in our society and has helped showcase the rich heritage of India. With the integration of the Indian economy with the world economy, people like Ratan Tata, Kumarmangalam Birla, Lakshmi Mittal and Narayan Murthy have emerged as the new generation Business Leaders of the world. 

With the rapidly changing socio-political and economic scenario of the world, the need for education is felt all the more. To keep India in the forefront of the world economy, SRIRAM Group, with its four decades of experience in education, realizes the need for value-based education system. Value- based education system will help students become evolved human beings, capable of judiciously handling difficult situations, not only in business, but also in other walks of life. In line with our ‘Vision’ of providing quality education to all, we have always endeavored to assess the need of our future generation, adapt our curriculum as per the need, and incorporate the best practices followed world over, blending it with Indian values. 

I am very happy that SRIRAM Group has responsibly fulfilled its mandate and has grown from strength to strength. The MBA and PGDM programmes, with their sustained quality, both in terms of content and delivery, have contributed to the entry of both Sriram Institute of Management & Technology and Sriram Business School into the top league of Business Schools in India. Today, both the Institutes rank among the top 50 Business Schools in the country, which bears testimony to a continuous emphasis on quality education.
